Victoria Summer

This picture is of young Marsden's hand holding up a flower. Marsden was almost 3 when the original photo was taken, and I love the innocence of his chubby toddler's hand and the way he hadn't learnt how to pick a flower properly yet (note the lack of stem). I painted the background sky in a very vivid blue, with wispy clouds to capture the colours of a summer sky, because I lived in Victoria, Canada in summer. I am addicted to square canvases , this is another 30" x 30" canvas.
