Troy Packer

I met Troy Packer in 2003 when we studied 3D animation together at Media Design School in Auckland, New Zealand. Troy is an outstanding artist and graduated his Diploma of 3D Computer Animation with Distinction.

Troy grew up in the Bay of Islands and was always interested in fantasy art. The artists that influenced him include: Boris Vallejo, Frank Frazetta and H R Giger. Funnily enough, Troy was always dead-set against computers, but once he did finally get his hands on one, and discovered Photoshop, that was it! He was hooked!

Then, thanks to his partner Rachelle, Troy discover 3D. Initially Troy was teaching himself 3D Studio Max before he enrolled at MDS to learn Maya.
